imma was selected to feature in a campaign for “AKAN LEATHER”. “AKAN LEATHER” is a clothing brand based in Lake Akan in Hokkaido. The brand utilizes Ezo deerskin, a valuable resource that would otherwise be discarded, to create apparel while promoting “coexistence with nature” as taught by the Ainu people who reside in Lake Akan. Kenta Takaya, a designer and representative of the design office of the Kansai Yamamoto, one of Japan’s top fashion designers, designed the clothing, with Akibe Hideo, an Ainu artist living in Lake Akan, serving as an advisor. The catchphrase of the campaign references the Ainu philosophy to express gratitude for incorporating other lives into one’s own life.

imma が “AKAN LEATHER” のキービジュアルに起用されました。「AKAN LEATHER 」は、北海道阿寒湖を拠点に、阿寒湖に住むアイヌの人々が教える「自然との共生」やエゾシカの命に感謝しながら、廃棄されてしまう貴重な資源であるエゾ鹿の革を利用してアパレルを制作するブランドです。日本のトップファッションデザイナーである故山本寛斎氏のデザイン事務所代表でデザイナーの高谷健太氏がデザインを担当し、阿寒湖に住むアイヌのアーティストである秋辺日出男氏がアドバイザーを務めています。キービジュアルのキャッチコピーである「ファッションだっていただ着ます」は、食の命を自分の生活に取り入れることへの感謝と、食材に関わるすべての人への尊敬の念を表現しています。
